Can I just drop in a photo of my painted watercolor design, or do I need to trace it first?
Drop it in as-is. AI Tattoo Stencil is built to read directly from your finished design and produce the stencil. You don't need to trace it in Procreate first. That's the whole point. As long as the photo or scan of your painting is reasonably clear, the tool extracts the lines a watercolor stencil needs.
What if my watercolor design is photographed under uneven lighting? Paintings don't always scan perfectly.
AI Tattoo Stencil handles most of what you'd realistically photograph or scan from a painted piece. It works best when the artwork is in focus and the lighting is reasonably even. If a photo has heavy shadows across the painting or strong glare on wet areas, these details can be mistakenly read as part of the design as well. We recommend using a scanner to help reduce heavy shadows.
Will the AI alter my design? I don't want it changing what I painted.
